If you have just received your invitation letter, congratulations, and welcome to the McGill University Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society! This website is the perfect place to help you understand what Golden Key is about and what the McGill Chapter has to offer you. In the next few weeks, we will be updating our site often, so please visit us when you can. This site will serve as the main means of communication for all news and information regarding the McGill Chapter.
So what exactly IS the "Golden Key?"
The Golden Key is an academic honour society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines. The Golden Key International Honour Society has emerged as one of the most dynamic, forward-thinking organizations in higher education. Committed to an ethos of recognizing academic achievement and encouraging altruistic service, the Society’s on-campus presence has reached 350 campuses in seven countries including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Members are connected to exclusive career opportunities and scholarship assistance through Golden Key's partnerships with major corporations and graduate programs. The Society provides campus and community service opportunities enabling personal growth and leadership development as well as collaborating with university faculty and administrators to develop and maintain high standards of education.
The Golden Key mission is to enable its members to realize their potential by instilling the ethic of public service and connecting achievement with further, lifelong opportunities. The McGill Chapter, the oldest in Canada, has consistently ranked in Gold Standing, and every year, inducts over 500 new members! We hope that this year, you will be one of them!
